Tom Hess Bowling
Tom Hess Bowling
My wife, Sue and I have two children named Andrew and Megan. We live in Urbandale, Iowa, which is a western suburb of Des Moines. I originally grew up in Indianola, Iowa. My parents gave me the love for the sport of bowling. When I was growing up, my whole family bowled. I played all sports, but bowling was always my favorite. I would spend hours at the bowling alley when I was younger dreaming about becoming a pro bowler. I idolized Mark Roth and Pete Weber because of their powerful styles.
In 2011, Tom captured his first career PBA National Title when he won the USBC Masters earning him a two-year exemption. Prior to his victory, Tom had already earned a one-year exemption for the 2011-2012 season, by placing in the top 10 at the Regional Players Invitational in December of 2010. After the PBA National and Regional seasons were complete, Tom was named the 2010-2011 PBA Midwest Region Player of the Year.
